Kenyan artist Michael Soi followed the recent arrival of the post-poll violence suspects at the International Court in The Hague with interest -- he had painted that very scene three years ago.

"The Hague Express" in charcoal and acrylic, is one of three huge canvasses piled up in the cargo container that serves as Soi's studio.

It shows two portly pigs and two fat cats clad in prison overalls and chained together disembarking from a KLM plane and being herded towards a sign saying The Hague.

They are followed by a piece of luggage marked "evidence" from which clubs and

National Oil-sponsored Ian Duncan will be out to extend his run to two consecutive victories as the KCB SME Banking Rally heads to Eldoret this weekend.

But his Dalbit Petroleum Alistair Cavenagh and Carl Tundo will not make it any easier for the five times former Kenya champion.

Tundo and Cavenagh have two Kenya National Rally Championship (KNRC) titles under their belts and are determined to uphold the now trendy 'EVO9 Craze' which continues to scare Subaru N-series drivers.

Brilliant Vikings stun Sliders

Vikings launched their quest for Vaisakhi International hockey women's title in style, stunning pre-match favourites Sliders 1-0 at City Park last weekend.

Kenya Police and Telkom Orange also staged a good start with victories against their rivals.

A breathtaking back flip from zero angle by June Jerop in the 31st minute was the goal that Vikings needed to chalk revenge against Sliders.

Sliders had a month ago beaten Vikings 2-0 in women's League tie.

"We played a good game and things can only get better. We won't lose our focus since our target is only one... the title,"

Silvio Berlusconi will seek reelection in 2013, Justice Minister Angelo Alfano -- the man recently identified as the Italian prime minister's political heir -- said Saturday.

At a private dinner with foreign journalists on Tuesday, Berlusconi, 74, told reporters off the record that he would not contest the next election, and named Alfano as a possible successor, according to a press leak.

But Alfano, 40, told Italy's Corriere della Serra newspaper that Brlusconi's succession was a "story outline without actors or a plot".

"Apart from the fact that it will again be him (Berlusconi) who will be the candidate

ROME

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is unlikely to seek reelection at the next elections in 2013 and has named a possible successor as incumbent Justice Minister Angelo Alfano.

During a private dinner on Tuesday evening with foreign journalists, Berlusconi, 74, told reporters off the record that he would not be standing as a candidate in the next elections -- news that was then leaked by the press.

"I could head the list, but I don't want to have an operational role," the premier told a small group of foreign reporters, adding that the 40-year-old Sicilian justice minister could

Standard Chartered Bank clients in Kenya can now do their business in Uganda without the need for cash, hence cutting down on the risks associated with cash transport such as theft.

The bank's customers in Uganda, on the other hand, can access their accounts and make deposits, withdrawals, balance enquiry and statement request without any charges levied.

The latest development will provide a platform for StanChart to increase its footprint in the region and tap into the opportunities available under the common market protocol.
