Prime Minister Raila Odinga on Saturday demanded that investigations be conducted on politicians who encourage ethnic politics.

"KKK should not be the one writing to the commission. The commission should not sit back like a dog that has seen a hyena while seeds of discord are being sown," he said.
Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta, William Ruto and Kalonzo Musyoka recently wrote to the commission to ban the use of the term KKK saying it would prejudice their positions as politicians.
Mr Odinga said the politics of the country should be played along geological lines rather than tribes. He spoke in Budalangi during the burial of area MP Ababu Namwamba's father.
Members allied to the Prime Minister led by Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi also hit out at Rift Valley leaders saying their reasons for ditching ODM were not genuine.
Dr Oburu said Mr Uhuru Kenyatta was playing politics with the ICC issue. "Let him put aside political and let us do what the country deserves," he said.
Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba said, "What things are these that the Prime Minister committed that only Rift Valley MPs can see. Why can't they mention them by names so that the rest of us can also see and decide if we are leaving?"
The comments came a day after Agriculture Minister Sally Kosgei said she would be joining Mr Ruto to support other members of the Kalenjin community included in Ocampo's list of six suspects.
"If at all the leaders have decided to go, let them go in peace and play mature politics. Insults and propaganda will tear this country apart but let them know that we will face them fairly and clearly with respect," she said.
